have you ever heard of the frog
whos legs are long and its neck is not?
would you guess that hamburger and sausage guts
are on an amphibian menu, thanks to man?
the bugs where there and the leaches too.
swimming or crawling or breaching among
junked porcelain and glass and even shoes.
crayfish feeling along,
pincing pork faces and dreams apart.
this is the way that we wish to be at night.
looking and listening to the real life
that inhabits South Bay
