up and down

up and down
(or how i learned to stop worrying and love the canoe)

on sandy beach
one branch reaches
peak heat

blue skies
back swarms
black flies

whisky for dinner
grit and bitter
wishes in there

teeth bare the sun
a chariot a aluminum
prows bows hum drum

for you for ever
oro y plombo
permeable and mosquito

gnaw it all night
goose it all day
hoof it any way

enervated levels
water settles
current left trestles

dings and dents
holes and rents
patches near spent

water this side
water that side
paddled or d(i)ed
