at night the pink filters
the ripples lift and blister
frequencies indivisible after
visit the eyes without their
edges no extraneous matter

the dimes a dozen
on the pavement clinking
old money scatters stochastic
some roll some spin
in one place on the rim

cottonwood

today on the way
the last snow
showing up and down
the cottonwood throws
pitches our nose blows

brinks

the fringes show
the sun extra dark
a fire black shroud
hung overhead
breaths into gasps
make them last
